Did you see Tasty Kitchen's Nutella cookie recipe bouncing around Pinterest? So did we, and we couldn't resist putting our own spin on this recipe and baking a batch on a lazy Labor Day afternoon.

1 cup of Nutella
1 whole egg
1 cup of all purpose flour
1 tsp Grand Marnier liqueur
1 cup powdered sugar to top

  • Mix the Nutella, egg, flour and Grand Marnier together by hand. You can try a mixer or a spoon but the dough is really too thick to use anything other than your hands. 
  • Use a tbsp to scoop out the dough and form into balls. 
  • Add the balls of cookie dough to a baking sheet and press the center of each one halfway down with your thumb.
  • Bake at 350 for 8 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool.
  • Once cooled top them with a dusting of powdered sugar.

The difference between our cookies and the ones from Tasty Kitchen's recipe are the hint of orange you'll get from the Grand Marnier. Our cookies are also a bit thicker than Tasty Kitchen's since we've gone the thumbprint cookie route versus the traditional cookie disc.

Both recipes are delicious and incredibly easy to make. Moms everywhere should have this ready to go for school bake sales, birthday parties and even a fun way to bake in the kitchen with your kids, although we recommend leaving the alcohol out in that scenario.
