It's been a while since we've written a beauty based article. This one caught our eye on Pinterest and we just couldn't refuse. Wholesome foods have so many natural healing powers. They can improve your body's inner functions as well as it's outward appearance. One example of a powerful food based beauty agent is an egg yolk.

Uncooked egg yolks contain outward healing properties that add length, luster and strength to hair. Try this recipe the next time you prepare to lather up:

2 egg yolks
2 tbsp of olive oil
1 cup of water

  • Dampen your hair. 
  • Mix the ingredients together and massage your new shampoo into your damp scalp.
  • Let the ingredients sit for 15-20 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with cold water. If you use hot water you may inadvertently cook the eggs and end up with a scrambled new do!

Egg yolks will give your hair a powerful protein and sulfur treatment that will help prevent breakage and even dandruff.

Eggs also benefit your skin. The vitamin A levels in eggs are known to help treat blemishes and prevent acne. For a quick and easy mask beat two egg yolks and spread them on your face and neck. Allow the mask to dry and rinse off with cold water.

Looks like having egg on your face is not such a bad thing after all!
