If you're a fan of Saturday Night Live (SNL) then you've probably heard of the infamous Schweddy Balls skit starring Alec Baldwin. The skit stars Baldwin as baker, Pete Schweddy who specializes in baked balls of dough - hence the name "Schweddy Balls."

The skit is tongue-and-cheek in spirit and is, of course, reliant upon the double entendre to stir laughs amongst viewers. Taking this same lighthearted approach, Ben & Jerry's ice cream thought they'd pay homage to the skit by creating an ice cream flavor named after it.

Ben & Jerry's Schweddy Balls includes vanilla ice cream with rum, and fudge covered malt balls, a combination that tastes must more delicious than it sounds. When asked about the controversy that has recently arisen through the One Million Moms group's protests of the flavor, Ben & Jerry's spokesperson Sean Greenwood said, "It appeals to those who love our irreverent sense of humor."

Obviously One Million Moms is not laughing but are you? How do our fellow Yumologists feel about eating Ben & Jerry's Schweddy Balls? As for us, the Schweddier the better, we're on board!
