They've done it again folks - those brilliant Yumologists over at Nabisco have conjured up yet another way to make the iconic Oreo even more satisfying. The Triple Double Oreo is their latest concoction and it involves the layering of three Oreo cookie biscuits with both vanilla and chocolate cream inside. This means your tongues are going to have to work overtime and your dunking skills are going to have to be top-notch.

The Triple Double Oreo wont actually hit supermarket shelves until later this summer, but the buzz around this latest generation of Oreos was so great Nabisco couldn't keep it a secret any longer. At least this gives our Yumologists plenty of time to adjust all of our cookies & cream recipes to account for the hefty newcomer.

One of our more simple cookies & creme recipes, that we're sure will adjust well with a Triple Double Oreo, is below:

Cookies & Cream Inside Out Cheesecakes

20 Tripple Double Oreos
1 tub of pre-made cheesecake base
12 cupcake liners
Non-stick cooking spray
  • Spray each cupcake liner with the non-stick cooking spray.
  • Place a whole Triple Double Oreo in each of the cupcake liners.
  • Take the remaining Oreos and add them to a food processor with the cheesecake base. Blend until well mixed.
  • Pack the cheesecake mixture around each Triple Double Oreo within each cupcake liner.
  • Place in fridge for 20-30 minutes until mixture has time to form and harden.
  • Remove from fridge, remove each inside-out cheesecake from it's wrapper and flip it upside down so the Triple Double Oreo is at the top.
  • Enjoy the inside-out, Triple Double Oreo goodness! YUM!
